NEWS FLASH: Ekiti Assembly Okays Attorney General’s Nominee, Apata

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Toba Apata (SAN) as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the State.

The confirmation followed the submission and adoption of the report of the house committee on Judiciary and legal matters headed by the chairman, Tajudeen Akingbolu, who had earlier screened Apata and dimmed him fit for the job.

Members at the plenary, which was presided over by the Deputy speaker, Mr Hakeem Jamiu in Ado – Ekiti the state’s capital, unanimously agreed with the submission of the committee.

The house also gave the governor the go-ahead to appoint ten special Advisers, while also reconfirming the nomination of Prof Femi Akinwumi as the state’s Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC) chairman.
