On Tuesday morning, some Internet users encountered a ‘500 Internal Server Error’ message while attempting to access some popular websites.
This was caused by a major outage at Cloudflare, which caused hundreds of websites across the Internet to stop working and display the error message.
Cloudflare is used by websites to safely deliver content from the cloud to users.
According to Downdetector, websites such as Discord, Shopify, Fitbit, Peloton, Grindr, Ring, bet365, Google, NordVPN, JustEat, and Ladbrokes were affected following an outage on one of the most popular CDNs, Cloudflare.
Cloudflare, on its official Twitter handle, acknowledged the issue and also announced that it has been resolved.
On its official site, Cloudflare said, “A critical P0 incident was declared at approximately 06:34 AM UTC. Connectivity in Cloudflare’s network has been disrupted in broad regions.
“Customers attempting to reach Cloudflare sites in impacted regions will observe 500 errors. The incident impacts all data plane services in our network.”
After identifications, investigations, and monitoring, Cloudflare revealed that the issue has been resolved as of 08:06 AM UTC.
